With their clear waters, white sand, the country itself is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia. With so many beautiful islands and stunning coastlines, it isn’t easy to come up with the best beaches in Thailand, but we have tried!

Malibu Beach, Koh Phangan
To kick of our list of the best beaches in Thailand, let’s start with Malibu beach which lies in Chaloklum. A walk over a small bridge takes you to the fine crystalized white sands of this beautiful heaven. The turquoise water and sand bar that reaches far out makes for a perfect snorkel day. The scenic background offers the mountains of Koh Phangan, many palm trees and people from all over the world playing and sunbathing.
Since this beach is such a sand bar during low tide, many people float in the water, kayak, paddle board and snorkel. There is a restaurant located right on the beach for that mid-day snack while you watch volleyballers score goals on the nets of Malibu Beach. Tourist often times fly into Surat Thani International Airport or Koh Samui and take a boat to the island of Koh Phangan.
Koh Nang Yuan, Surat Thani Province
If you like seclusion and being where the crowds are less, then this private island might be a top pick. A lot of tourists come here for a day trip to dive and snorkel due to it being a short boat ride away from the dive capital of Thailand, Koh Tao.

hat tourist love most about Koh Nang is the walking path that overlooks the highest peak on Thailand for incredible views after only 15 minuets on foot. Railay Beach, Krabi
If you are looking for a beach with incredible scenery, then Railay Beach is a must. With stunning lime stone cliffs and a white sandy beach that surround the island, it is hard to find yourself getting out of the crystal clear blue salty waters. A great place for exploring, Railay Beach has coves and caves for adventure seekers and if you are daring enough rock climbing is one of the must do activities here. Other activities include kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling.
Railay Beach is located 4km from Krabi town, which is where most tourist fly into before wandering the beaches of Thailand. There are surrounding islands that you can take boats from but to access Railay Beach you must take a long tail boat to the tiny but exquisite island. Mai Khao Beach
Located in Phuket, this 17.5 km this beautiful beach in Thailand stretches with its thick white sand and its turquoise wavy water. Phuket is a booming city where many tourists come to lavish in the culture of Southern Thailand’s beauty. With many hotels and restaurants around, there is plenty to do and see while spending a day here.
Tourist are often seen paragliding, kite surfing, jet skiing, swimming and more. Due to its popularity many spas and on the beach massage parlors have opened up for that perfect view of the ocean while relaxing after a sunny day. Long Beach, Koh Lanta
A neighboring island which is a boat ride from Phuket lies the quite but incredible beach of Long Beach in Koh Lanta. Lamai Beach, Koh Samui

Ao Leuk Koh Tao
One of the best beaches in Thailand for diving and snorkeling is Ao Leuk, Koh Tao. This is the diving and snorkeling hob of Thailand. Not only its water activities, restaurants and shopping but the beautiful sand that stretches around this cove, along with the sand bars and clear waters, Ao Leuk is a beach you will keep coming back too. Most tourist arrive at Koh Samui or Surat Thani International Airports and travel by boat to Koh Tao.

Phra Nang Beach, Krabi

Sunset Beach or Hat Pramong

With access only by boat, tourist often times fly into Had Yai International Airport and then take a ferry to Koh Lipe.
The Haad Mae Beach Ko Ma
One of the most popular Thailand beaches with a cool walking sand strip from Haad Mae Beach to Koh Ma Island. During low tide you are able to walk in-between the sand bar and heck out the surrounding island. Due to its remote location and not very well-known beaches, Koh Tachai is perfect for relaxing, swimming and catching some of the best sunsets around. A trickier location then most of the Thai islands, Koh Tachai again is only accessible by boat. The easiest airport to fly into is Phuket where you can then take a bus and ferry to get to the islands.
