Railay Beach, Krabi

First up on this list of the best beach destinations in Thailand is one of my personal favorites, Railay Beach. Apart from being a Thai paradise with crystal-clear blue-green water, this beach is a perfect place for rock-climbing fanatics. Railay Beach has massive limestone crags, a dream come true for every adrenaline junkie out there. Just bear in mind that it’s only accessible by boat! The overall laid-back atmosphere is so enchanting that you’ll want to stay there forever – enjoying the warm water and beautiful sand surrounded by breathtaking cliffs.

Khao Lak, Takua Pa

If you would like to get some rest while enjoying the secluded beaches, you may want to put Khao Lak on your list! The best thing about this place is that it’s much quieter than other nearby locations, making it a fantastic choice even for families who are looking for peaceful spots. What’s interesting about Khao Lak is the fact that it was completely erased by a tsunami in 2004. Thanks to the tourism industry it seen a complete to recovery!

Koh Tao Island, the Gulf of Thailand

Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Tao is known all over the globe for its white-sand beaches and unique landscape. This island is also known as ‘Turtle Island’ because of the abundance of sea turtles. If you’re up for enjoying the magic of sun-kissed beaches, you’ll be thrilled to learn that this place offers up to 300 days of sunshine per year! Also, not only is Koh Tao one of the best beach destinations in Thailand, it is also my favorite island in the country!

Phuket beaches, Thailand

Being the country’s largest island, Phuket has a rich and colourful history that attracts guests from around the world. Phuket indeed has it all – it boasts more than 30 beaches which means, there is something for everyone. From classy restaurants to street food vendors and remote beaches to ones full of tourists, the choice is yours!

Phi Phi Don, Koh Phi Phi

Similarly to Phuket, the island of Phi Phi also offers numerous fabulous beaches that can truly leave you breathless. It’s little wonder why it was the filming locations for Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, ‘The Beach.” Being one of the most picturesque places in Thailand, the image of Phi Phi Don is probably the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about this magical country. Its secluded location with waters that perfectly match the fine white sand and fairytale-like palm trees are dreamlike. What isn’t is the hoards of crowds that come with it. Still, Chanchaolao Beach Resort Koh Phi Phi and area land on this list of the best beach destinations in Thailand for its beauty.

We visited Thailand last year and only visited Koh Tao. We loved Freedom Beach, a small paradise with crystal clear water! We stayed at Sairee Beach, but that beach wasn’t that nice or clean. The diving is awesome there though and we loved the chill vibe.
