My wife and I are not fussy travellers. We see a hotel room as just a place to sleep, so we chose this hotel based on price (which was very good). However the 2 things we value most, a good bed and a hot shower were non existant. The shower was only ever luke warm (never hot) and the beds are incredibly hard as everyone says. Its like placing a blanket on a sheet of timber and trying to sleep on that. The room was spacious but a little outdated, however we did no care about that. Breakfast was also average. They cook everything at once at 6.00am, so if you’re not at breakfast by 6.30 everything has gone cold. There are 3 large pools, however one is under renovation until September – October. The other pools are large and good enough for what we wanted. The beach is also very close, you just cross the road and you are there.
The local tuk tuks or taxis charge 300 Baht to go into Patong. Hence the money we saved on accommodation was lost on taxis. We got around everywhere in Bangkok for 100 Baht so we found 300 to be expensive. The hotel does offer a shuttle service but it only leaves at 11.30 and 4.30 each day and can only take 12 people. For a massive hotel this was really bad as you had to book a spot the day prior to try and get on.
Over all I would say not to stay here. We thought it would have been beter to stay in Patong near the Holiday Inn once in Puket. It seemed to be in a great location and away from all the bars, but right on the beach.
