Everything from the room, facilities, service, food and cleanliness is top-notch. I stayed here for 4 days and felt like it wasn’t enough! There were just so many things to do: giant water slides, poolbar, renting a floatie, petting zoo, painting class, dessert cafe, coffee cafe, gardens and many more.
It is such an Instagrammable hotel – every corner is an opportunity for you to take photos.
The staffs were very polite, welcoming and helpful. I once had a problem with my internet and they quickly sent over an IT guy to help me with it. One of the staffs even went out of the way to serve me food at the poolbar which was very kind of him!
I especially MISS the food at the restaurant, they were so delicious! It’s very rare for hotels to have good food nowadays but at Thavorn, always exceeded my expectation! Plus, they have the BEST coconut drink ever.
I would definitely come back to this place just to experience everything all over again. Thank you Thavorn for making my stay wonderful and memorable! I highly recommend this place to everyone whether you are a couple, business, family or even solo traveler!
PS: The kids would definitely love the petting zoo!

Highly recommended resort in Phuket. If you want a traditional Thai resort experience and are tired of branded hotels that have the same vibe literally everywhere, PLEASE TRY THIS RESORT. My friends and I wanted to try some authentic thai resort experience and decided to stay at Thavorn Palm Resort.
PRO:
1. Location: It is located right in front of Karon Beach and you’re able to catch the sunset almost everyday unless it’s raining.
2. Rooms: The rooms were newly renovated so it was very comfortable. Definitely fits a 4.5 star resort. The beds are big, room is spacious and it comes with a balcony where you can dry your clothes after a swim. The bathroom is all marbled and can definitely tell that this hotel really are trying to make the guests comfortable.
3. Garden/ Pool facility: This hotel is apparently over 40 years old so what you get that you are unable to get in a branded hotel is the history and the garden that comes with it. All the trees and flowers are carefully crafted and they are such a pleasure to walk in in the morning. It feels like you’ve stepped into a whole different resort once you’re at the garden. Pool is fun!! There’s a big water slide which is a great place to let kids and adults alike, enjoy some splashed water.
4. Food/. F&B: This resort has a great desert cafe and a restaurant with aged steak, authentic thai food and italian. Their pizza oven is high end (i know this because my family owns a italian restaurant) and they did not go cheap on the steak as well. The food is very very tasty and yes, it might be pricer than street food in phuket but if you want to just relax and enjoy a comfortable atmosphere with clean food, Ciao is definitely a place to go. I recommend Rib Eye Steak, Truffle Pasta, Four cheese pizza and the Pad Thai.
6.Petting Zoo: I’ve never seen a silky chicken before lol but they are so gentle and sweet. This resort has baby pigs you can feed, birds, rabbits, 75 year old Tortoise and chickens. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind experience that you cannot get anywhere. The kids loved it and the interactive experience is what makes this place memorable.
CON: Mosquitos. But what can they do, we are in Southeast Asia. But they provide mosquito sprays in every room and every staff has one on them so just ask if you need it!

During our stay someone had done a toilet in the pool with slides.. so kids lost 1 day of fun due to it..
Next door to My friends apartment, the rooms air con caught light at 4am resulting in them being moved and our groups next day excursion getting missed.. sadly losing our money £400
My room with the sunken lounge that I paid extra for was beautiful and the sea views was amazing, however we couldn’t use the sunken lounge due to all the dirt and rubbish left by the last occupants.. cleaners obviously done clean in there and we refused to touch it.. we did report but nothing was done..
the night of the fire my friend had to be woken up by staff as their is no fire-alarms.. my friend and myself then went round the hotel to notice all the fire extinguishers were out of date..
we high lighted this to staff and was told they still work just needs expiry dates changing ?!?
Very disappointed with the place considering what I paid and the hotels star rating !!
Would I stay here again ? No
The service is very good, the staff is very friendly (Ja-ae
) the breakfast is rich, and it is a pleasure to stay here. I will recommend it to my friends, if I have the opportunity to come to Phuket again, if I come to Pudong again, I will choose here again, thank you.
We stayed here for 2 nights and my only regret was that we stayed longer. We enjoyed all the amenities. With 3 kids, the pools and petting zoo was a hit. Location was steps away from the beach and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. On our last day we booked transportation with the hotel. Unfortunately my daughter forgot her AirPods in the van and we could only get in touch with them after we left Phuket. This is where the best customer service stepped in. The hotel staff confirmed they still had the AirPods and worked out a way to send it back to me. Mr. Take and Ms. Ant along with a lot of many other Thavorn hotel staff were in constant contact with me to work things out. This hotel isn’t only a great place to stay but they are honest and extremely kind to send this back to me. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!!
