You might not be aware, but our resort only uses 100% organic fertilizer specially prepared by our professional gardeners, which enable us to maintain a lush green exuberance to our resort gardens and grounds. This organic fertilizer is kind to the natural environment and is why our gardens attract 1000’s of species of butterflies, birds, frogs and other small animals. We strive to reflect the rich culture and traditions of Thailand, which is why you will find many sculptures depicting local lifestyles of years gone by accompanied by living histories of the resort from its traditional agricultural origins to one of Phuket’s finest natural resorts. I am glad that you found our gardens inviting and enjoyed exploring the many sculptures. With regards our to our collection of bonsai trees, our resort orchid gardens were originally part of the owner’s private gardens, so contain many interesting species of plants and specialty trees collected over a lifetime, including the splendid exhibit, which as you mentioned dates back to the 17th Century. To enable our guests to further explore the rich cultural history of Phuket, we offer a Complimentary Shuttle Bus Daily to historic Phuket Old Town. The Old Town was established to support the thriving Tin Mining Business at the turn of the century and the owners of Thavorn Hotels and Resorts were one of the original families spearheading the boom in this industry. In 1960, they opened the first International Standard Hotel in Phuket Town, which is still in operation today and houses one of Phuket Town’s cultural gems, the famous Phuket History Museum with an eclectic mix of artifacts and memorabilia from yesteryear. As tourism is now the leading industry in Phuket, we also offer a complimentary Shuttle Bus Service Daily to Patong Beach, so guests can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the island’s entertainment hub.
